Meet Maddy K.
Hospitality expert, event architect, experience strategist and entrepreneur.
The Story
Hospitality, as a way of seeing.
Maddy K began in events more than twenty years ago. What started as a wedding and event studio has grown into a hospitality and experience company — venues and restaurants, brand experiences, travel, community and consulting. The thread has never changed: designing how people are welcomed, and how they feel when they leave.
Today her work runs from venue strategy and restaurant programming to brand experiences, travel and consulting — often long before the doors open, and long after the evening ends.
The events remain, and they are the foundation. Two decades of weddings, galas and private celebrations for clients including celebrities, athletes, politicians and international families, alongside a partnership with The Ritz-Carlton Montréal on its Grand Prix party that has now run for more than a decade.
One thread runs through all of it: bringing women together. Bridal Boudoir convened an industry; Maddy K Inspires and the Maddy K Circle built a community; I AM, Hustle & Heart and Shine Up MTL filled rooms with honest conversation; Casa Evexia gave that community a permanent address; and More Than A Cure, where she is a founding board member, supports women facing breast cancer. She has also taught event planning at John Abbott College.
"I love to mentor and coach women to help them find their path in life."
— Maddy K
The Journey
Twenty years, one evolution.
Events → experiences → entrepreneurship → hospitality and strategy. One thing leading to the next.

What comes next
Hospitality & Venue Strategy
The practice steps fully into hospitality: advising hotels, restaurants, venues and developers on positioning, programming and the guest experience — the work the last twenty years were quietly building toward.
Behind The Scenes
Before the magic.
Hover to play — the hours before the guests arrive.

Philanthropy
Heart before decor.
From benefit evenings for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, to bringing Look Good Feel Better's Bubbles & Brunch to Montréal, to La Roche-Posay's Ride La Grande Roue for women's cancer research — Maddy's events serve the causes that matter first.
The Team
Gracy, Lead Planner.
Gracy joined Maddy K in 2016 as an intern and grew, year by year, into the role of Lead Planner. She has managed and overseen countless events and weddings since — multi-day programmes among them, and a destination wedding in Costa Rica.
She always knew she wanted a career in events. Before finding her way in, she worked across sales, retail and finance — customer-facing roles that taught her to read a room. A planner by nature, she was drawn to the pace and constant change of the work.
Her organisation, attention to detail and calm allow each event to be delivered with grace and ease — which makes her an asset to clients, suppliers and, most of all, the team. Since 2018, under Maddy's mentorship, she has led the core weddings team.
Gracy holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Relations from Concordia University and a DEC in Business Administration and Marketing from Dawson College.
